Grappling Recap · April 2, 2026
Three titles were on the line at the Las Vegas APEX. Here is the recap of UFC BJJ 7.
Main event: Tackett turns back Rocha
Andrew Tackett made the third defense of his UFC BJJ welterweight title, getting the better of 43-year-old veteran Vagner Rocha.
Valente captures the lightweight title
In the co-main, Lucas Valente submitted Carlos Henrique with a late leg lock to claim the lightweight title, his fourth straight win over his rival.
The mindset takeaway
Rocha, at 43, was still in there challenging for gold. Age is a number; the mats reward whoever keeps showing up prepared.
