Jiu-Jitsu Weekly Roundup — July 26, 2026: FloGrappling and ONE Shake Hands, Pan Kids Takes Over Florida

Jiu-Jitsu Weekly Roundup · Sunday, July 26, 2026
A streaming deal that could reshape who competes where, 2,600 kids on the mats in Florida, and a heavyweight tapping people out with leg attacks inside the Octagon. Here is the week in jiu-jitsu and grappling.
FloGrappling and ONE Championship Shake Hands
The business story of the month landed in the middle of this week's news cycle: FloGrappling and ONE Championship have entered a strategic partnership aimed at keeping the world's best grapplers active and available across ONE, Who's Number One, and Flo-partnered events including ADCC and IBJJF majors.
For a sport where the top 20 athletes are often locked into competing promotions, an agreement that lets them cross those lines is a meaningful development. Details are still thin, but expect more clarity as the ADCC cycle winds down.
FloSports also launched a free ad-supported channel on Prime Video in the U.S. on July 21, carrying more than 300 live events and over 1,000 hours of programming across its verticals — grappling included. If you have been on the fence about following the sport more closely, the barrier to entry just dropped to zero.
Pan Kids Takes Over Kissimmee
The 2026 Pan Kids Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship ran Friday through Sunday at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, with 2,607 competitors from 625 academies registered across gray, yellow, orange and green belt divisions. Every mat streamed live on FloGrappling.
It is easy to skip past a kids' tournament in a weekly roundup. Don't. Three days of brackets this size is the clearest picture you will get of where the sport's talent pipeline actually sits, and the names crowning divisions in Kissimmee this weekend are the ones you will be arguing about on the adult black belt podium a decade from now.
Around the Mats This Week
The IBJJF ran its Orlando Summer Open on Thursday, ADCC's open circuit stopped in Indaiatuba, Brazil on Saturday, and Fight to Win 322 ran the same night out of Fresno. Sunday brought the FPJJ Campeonato Paulista Sem Kimono and LIJJN's Brew Jitsu Summer 4 — a reminder that the calendar rarely takes a weekend off in July.
From the front half of the week, per FloGrappling's Grappling Bulletin: Helena Crevar beat Paige Ivetter Clymer by decision at ONE: The Inner Circle 22 — the two are drawn into the same ADCC bracket, so a rematch on the biggest stage is live. Keith Krikorian took the F2W featherweight title by submission over Vinicius Inacio. Travis Thomas submitted Caleb Crump with an arm-triangle to claim the Toro Cup heavyweight title. Corbin LaPorte and Natan Sapp won the Ocean BJJ Pro Trials in Rome. Jansen Gomes banked $10,000 winning the TLC Grappling Championship absolute. And Roberto Jimenez signed with the Philly Phenoms for Season 10 of the PGF at 205 pounds.
Jiu-Jitsu Showed Up in the Octagon, Too
Saturday's UFC card in Abu Dhabi was a good night for grapplers. Valter Walker tapped Thomas Petersen with a calf slicer at 1:32 of round one — his fifth consecutive first-round submission, which ties Demian Maia for the longest such streak of the modern UFC era. Walker had been hunting a heel hook, lost the position as Petersen defended, and simply trapped the calf and squeezed instead. That adaptability is the whole lesson.
Frenchman Axel Sola finished Ismael Bonfim with a D'Arce choke seconds before the end of round one, and Abdul Hussein closed his UFC debut with a third-round arm-triangle. Three submissions, three different mechanisms, all on one card.
ADCC 2026: Seven Weeks Out
The ADCC World Championship hits Tauron Arena in Kraków, Poland on September 12–13. The superfight is set: 2024 absolute champion Kaynan Duarte faces Yuri Simões for the title left vacant by Gordon Ryan's retirement. The two met once before, in the over-99kg semi-finals at ADCC 2019, with Duarte winning on points.
The roster keeps moving. Reigning −55kg champion Adele Fornarino has withdrawn from her title defense to compete for UFC BJJ instead, with Trials runner-up Valerie Hamilton taking the slot. FloGrappling maintains a running list of every athlete invited if you want to track the field.
In the "what could have been" file, Gordon Ryan revealed this week that a superfight with Khamzat Chimaev was proposed for ADCC 2024 before he settled on the two superfights he actually took.
What's Coming Up
BJJ Stars 19 goes Friday, July 31, featuring a large masters bracket and WNO youth bracket champion James Ortiz against qualifier winner Nicholas Vieira. The CBJJE National BJJ Championships follow August 1–2, with the ADCC Bogotá Open and the PBJJF North American Championships both on August 8 and the ADCC Youth Championship on August 9.
The big one on the horizon is UFC BJJ 10 on Thursday, August 20, streaming free on the UFC BJJ YouTube channel. Andrew Tackett defends the welterweight title against Jonnatas Gracie, Ethan Crelinsten and Renato Canuto meet for the lightweight belt, and Brianna Ste-Marie makes her promotional debut against featherweight champion Rebeca Lima. The UFC BJJ Open follows in Las Vegas on August 22–23.
